I build machine learning for languages and sounds that most models never see — Sylheti in both of its scripts, and the swara structure of Indian classical flute.
About
I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Sylhet Engineering College, affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, with a CGPA of 3.62/4.00 and a final-semester GPA of 3.96/4.00.
Most of my work starts from the same problem: the language or the signal I care about has no dataset, so I build one first. That has meant a 21,181-entry Bangla–Syloti Nagri parallel corpus, a seven-class Sylheti emotion corpus in two scripts, and a set of swara recordings collected from professional flute musicians. The modelling work follows from the data — byte-level translation for a script no pretrained model has seen, parameter-efficient fine-tuning for Bangla classification, and attention-guided segmentation for melody.
Research interests: machine learning and deep learning; natural language processing; low-resource and multilingual NLP; audio signal processing.
